I have been an artist for as long as I can remember. I have always, even as a child, had the attitude of "why buy it?" "I can make it" . Well, if I had all the money that I have spent over the years on all the crafts, paints, glitter pens, glue guns, fancy paper, etc that I have bought ...well I might not have to be looking for a new place to live.
To say the least the last 5 years have been a steady but slippery slope. Well, it now feels like a fast downhill sprint. My passion to create found that it was a necessity to creaet to help feed my family. I havent worked, a full time job in many years, therefore the thought of re entering the work force quite honeslty scares me to death. I have done what I want to do at my own pace and how I have wanted for soooo long, I am certain that I would face temination within the first month.
So enter the wonderful, double edge sword of being self employed.
Most of my work and most of my time is spent on ETSY. I love ETSY. I shop from etsy every chance I can. If you havent shopped on ETSY I suggest you get busy. I have met some of the most wonderful customers that I now think of as my friends on ETSY.
